- CATALOG ON A DISK
-
-
- ABOUT THE CATALOG...
-
- Throughout the catalog you can press the F1 key to display
- "context sensitive help". This means the help displayed will
- reference whatever position you are in the catalog.
-
- The catalog contains high quality selected Shareware and Public
- Domain software titles. Each of these programs have been tested and
- reviewed for use on a IBM or compatible computer that has at least
- 256k RAM, DOS 2.x or better, and a CGA or Monochrome graphics card
- and monitor. Additional requirements are listed in the descriptions
- of each individual program.
-
- Each program has been rated with 1 to 5 *'s (stars).
- (1 being poor, 5 being fantastic). The * rating system is based on
- six questions we ask of every program.
-
- 1. Is program full featured and performs as expected?
- 2. Is program well documented or has online help?
- 3. Is program easy to use and learn?
- 4. Does program have a modern intuitive interface?
- 5. What is quality of program compared to like programs?
- 6. Is program crippled or annoying? 1=yes 2=some 3=no
-
- Each question can be answered with a value of 1 to 3. (1=Poor,
- 2=OK, 3=Excellent) A computer program generates the * rating based
- on the reviewer's answers.
-
- If all six questions are answered with 3's the program will
- generate a *****! rating. This indicates a superior program and
- makes for excellent search criteria. If all six are answered with
- 1's a 1 * rating will be generated. The reason a 1 * program will
- exist in our catalog will be because it is unique enough !
-
